Our Space
The big room where the day happens
Sun on the floor, low shelves, and space in the middle. Morning light comes through those windows, and by 9am someone’s already building a tower that will fall. We eat lunch at child-sized tables, do puzzles, roll playdough. The fireplace is just for cozy, not for show. Everything is real wood, real dishes, real work — because children notice the difference.
The sunroom
Climb, slide, hide. On rainy days this is our “outside.” The pink tents become reading nooks, nap caves, or secret bases. The light is so good in the afternoon, we do quiet time here sometimes.
Outside every day
Patio for cars and water tables, grass for running, a playhouse for selling pretend soup. We have roses by the stone wall, a winding path, and space to just look up at the sky. We go out in light rain, in snow, in that weird Lexington drizzle. Fresh air isn’t extra — it’s part of the day.
