About Ivy Grove

A home built from a mother’s wish for more time.

Ivy Grove started with a simple wish: to spend more of these precious early years with my own children, and to build the kind of care I’d want for them every day.

After years on a demanding professional path, I wanted something slower, warmer, and closer to home. Not because caring for young children is easy — it isn’t — but because childhood is brief, and the early years deserve presence.

Ivy Grove is named for my daughter, Ivy. The way we care here is the way we raise her: with patience, good food, soft routines, safe spaces, books, sunlight, outdoor play, and adults who notice the small things.

We keep our group intentionally small so each child can be truly known. Some children need more time to warm up. Some need more room to move. Some need an extra hug before joining the group. Here, those details matter.

We are a licensed family child care in Lexington, but first, we are a real home. My hope is simple — that every child who walks through our door feels not only cared for, but welcomed, remembered, and loved.
